Hoover Historical Center
Boyhood home of Hoover Company founder Wm Henry "Boss" Hoover is located on original family farmland inside Walsh University's Hoover Park. Hoover Company history, vintage ads and products are displayed among Victorian elegance, vintage ladies fashions, and Victorian furnishings. Products Hoover made for WWII are included.
Photos of Hoover floats in ProFootball Hall of Fame parades and awards received, current Hoover products and many interactives throughout the tour which begins in primitive 1840s building with evolution of cleaning devices. A little museum with a big history! Beautiful herb gardens complement the grounds. Voted as finalist "Best Historic Site" category in the annual "Best of Stark County" contest!
