Comet ISON Watch

“Comets are like cats. They have tails and do precisely as they please.” -comet hunter David Levy

Comet ISON is coming! Like most comets, this is going to be a tough one to predict. It might be a once-in-a-decade comet or it might be a dud. It’s approaching the Sun as this goes to print and will (hopefully) appear again after it emerges from the Sun’s glare. If it’s a “good one” and the skies are clear, we’ll be watching at TWC! The best viewing will probably be in the morning sky Dec. 8-15. If it’s a good comet and a clear morning, the TWC Astronomy Club invites you to view it with them. If you would like to be notified if the watch will take place, send Joann an email at joann@wildernesscenter.org or give TWC a call and ask to be placed on the comet call list.
