Clearview Golf Club
Clearview Golf Course was designed and built in 1946 by William J Powell, shortly after returning home from WWII. Clearview is one of a handful of golf courses listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Both William and daughter Renee are Class A PGA members and have been inducted into the NO PGA Hall of Fame as well as the Ohio Golf Hall of Fame. Son Lawrence is a member of the GCSAA and has also been recognized by NASA for his innovation with grasses.
Each year Clearview hosts an annual Celebrity Tournament and an event with LPGA Tour players. Golfers come from all over the world for the opportunity to play "Clearview America's Course." Clearview has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, Good Morning America, The Today Show, Golf Channel, New York Times, London Times, Golf Digest, People Magazine and many other publications.
