A Salute to Veterans, Massillon Tigers & America
Nov. 11 at 1 p.m.
Outside the Lincoln Professional Building at the Corner of Lincoln Way and Erie Street

The brief ceremony will include special remarks by Massillon Mayor Kathy Catazaro-Perry, American Legion Color Guard, Invocation and Benediction by Rev. Larry Lalama, Central Presbyterian Church, the National Anthem Sung by John Starrett, the Pledge of Allegiance Led by Washington High School Students, the Official Raising of the Flags and Reading of Names of Those Who Purchased Flags to Benefit the Flag Fund.

Hoover Historical Center
Free admission for military and veterans (i.d. required) to tour the Hoover Historical Center, Nov. 7 – 10. Tours are conducted hourly, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Weds-Sat. For more information call 330.499.0287.
 

Rosie Kurtz

Rosie Kurtz is the Administrative Specialist for the Canton/Stark County CVB. Raised in southern Stark County, Rosie has the inside scoop on attractions such as the Winery at Perennial Vineyards, Shearers Outlet Store, and the Wilderness Center. She and her friends enjoy planning girl’s night outings, going to Canton First Fridays and venturing to attractions all over Stark County. When she isn’t working or hanging out with her friends, she enjoys learning about “urban gardening” and planting vegetables and flowers in her apartment.

  2. I think it’s a great idea both for vets and the retailers. We vets win with the freebies and discounts and retailers win by brininging in more customers, many of whom will return as paying customers.
