End of Summer Bucket List

The kids will be headed back to school in the next few weeks and there’s less than six weeks until summer’s officially over. We asked several local bloggers what they’d like to do with their families in Stark County before summer is over. Here’s what’s on their end of summer bucket lists.

“The one thing I would like to do with my family before the summer ends is enjoy a day at the Hartville MarketPlace and Flea Market. Surprisingly, I have never been and I know that my entire family would enjoy this outing. In the morning, we could stop for lattes and drinks at Caffé Gelato then head North to begin searching for small treasures at the market. Since Quail Hollow State Park is in the neighborhood, we could enjoy a family hike before heading home. To finish off the evening we could pick up some healthy cuisine from BAM, another place I have been meaning to visit. There are only two weeks left in our summer so we better get moving!”

“My girls are at an age where trains are so intriguing. I plan on taking them on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad - The Canton Connection. I think this will be fun for our whole family. My husband and I will get to enjoy Stark County in a different way while the girls enjoy the experience!”

“The one thing I would like to do with my family is spend the day at Sippo Lake Park.  Hiking the trails, searching for geocaches and exploring the Congressman Ralph Regula Canalway Center would be the perfect way to end our summer.”

“I plan to take my grandchildren and explore wonderful new walking and biking trails the have recently opened in Stark County. We have already visited the new trails at Schneider Park and the new Hoover Trail in North Canton. The trail at Schneider Park is now connected to the Canton Park system and one can head north into North Canton and explore the Hoover connector and the Hoover Trail. My grandchildren especially like the trail at the Schneider Park because it begins at a very nice playground where they have a ball before heading down the trail to look at the dog park where people can take their dogs and let them run. Schneider Park has what is probably the best kit flying hill in Stark County.”
