Ice cream is a year-round staple in my diet, but there is something about a sunny sky and warm breeze that makes a dripping ice cream cone SO much better! Below you will find a list of local Stark County Ice Cream shops that offer delicious scoops of your favorite flavors!

Taggarts Ice Cream in Canton
Taggarts Ice Cream has been open since 1926 and is home of the famous Bittner! Enjoy smooth and sweet mixture of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and salty pecans with whipped cream on top – the perfect combination! Taggarts has two locations, one in Canton and one in Magnolia. You can satisfy your taste buds no matter what direction you’re going!
Milk & Honey Candy & Soda Shoppe is located in Canton and is another long-time ice cream parlor! They have FOUR types of banana splits and jumbo root beer floats!

Heggy’s Nut Shop
Heggy’s Nut Shop has more to offer than they’re name suggests! They have delicious milkshakes and malts! Heggy’s also has a variety of sundaes including pineapple and marshmallow!
Almost Heaven Homemade Ice Cream has quite arguably the best butter pecan ice cream you will ever taste! Yum! Their owners even attended a culinary class at the University of Florida to create the best of the best in ice cream creations! If you’re looking for something a little fruity – try their orange pineapple!
New Baltimore Homemade Ice Cream has two locations! One is a convenient stop on Route 44 and Pontius Ave. in New Baltimore, the other is at Rolling Greens Miniature Golf in Uniontown! They post their weekly flavors on their FaceBook page – yum!

Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream
Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream has multiple locations in the area! Check out their stores in Alliance, North Canton, and Massillon! Get ready to make a tough decision, as they have over 50 flavors of homemade ice cream! You can also get quarts or pints to take home too, and they even have apple dumplings on occasion!
Twistee Treat Ice Cream is one you cannot miss! Located in Massillon, this giant pink and white ice cream cone is serving up tasty treats! They have something for everyone – from cones and sundaes, to malts and shakes, and slushies and smoothies!

Cherry Street Creamery in Canal Fulton
Cherry Street Creamery in Canal Fulton is in the perfect location to bike to using the Ohio & Erie Canal! After you’ve biked off all of those calories, you won’t feel guilty grabbing some yummy treats at this road-side stand! It’s the perfect summer combination!
Oser’s Dairy & Deli is just across the street in Canal Fulton as well! Be sure to get their chocolate & peanut butter ice cream! It is definitely to die for!
Smith’s Waco Market located on Waynesburg Drive, just south of Route 30 is certainly delicious – and you can tell by the line that this place is always busy! No worries though – it is worth the small wait. Not to mention, their prices are fantastic for the scoops you will get!
Fluppy’s Drive-In located in Waynesburg is a summertime favorite as well! This place is perfect to swing by after a baseball game with the kids! They have an amazing brownie sundae and lots of picnic tables in the shade!

Kreamland Ice Cream in Navarre
Kremeland is just a little bit to the southwest in Navarre. This retro 1950′s diner sits right on Main Street and is hard to miss! They have just about every ice-cream concoction you could imagine, as long as a large food menu!
