1. Overboard Dinner Theater: August 24-25
Take a relaxing drive down to the Amish Door in Wilmot for Overboard, the current production in their dinner theater series. Overboard, an old-fashioned tale of grit and redemption is a wild retelling of the book of Jonah. Great entertainment and a great meal, what else could you ask for?
2. More Motown: August 24
Another dinner theater option for the weekend, but the Canton Cabaret offers dinner theater that YOU can dance to! Enjoy an evening filled with Motown hits that are sure to get you out of your seat.
3. Canton & Massillon Farmers’ Markets: August 24
Now is a great time to treat yourself to summer’s bounty at area farmers’ markets. On Saturday you can visit the Massillon Farmers’ Market for fresh fruits, veggies and bake goods or the Canton Farmers’ Market for more local produce, live music, local artists and more. If you have the time, do them both!
4. Hollywood Hit Movies at the Canton Palace Theatre: August 25-26
Did you know that every Saturday and Sunday you can enjoy Hollywood hit movies at the historic Canton Palace Theatre? This weekend you can enjoy The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. An historic theatre atmosphere and hit movie all for only $5, count me in!
5. Stark County Fair: August 28 – September 3
It’s not happening this weekend, but I had give a shout out to the Stark County Fair which opens next Tuesday, August 28. I’m already dreaming of the fair food!
