MAPS Air Museum "Where History Takes Flight!"
This "flight" museum highlights and offers a wide array of exhibits from the first airships, World War II, Korea to present day. One of the last five existing B-26 Marauders is being restored to working condition, and a most rare F-2A Brewster Buffalo are among the aircraft featured in this unique museum. This is a hands-on museum allowing visitors to sit in a Mig-17, anti-aircraft guns, simulators and a blimp gondola.
Menches Brothers Restaurant "We Invented the Hamburger!"
In 1885 at the Erie County Fair in Hamburg NY concessionaires Frank & Charles Menches ran out of pork for the their famous sausage sandwich. They switched to chopped beef and spiced it with brown sugar, coffee, and a few other still-secret ingredients, creating the beloved hamburger. The same brothers at the World's Fair created the ice cream cone in 1904. Now you can taste both original recipes only at Menches Brothers Restaurant, still family owned and operated at Canal Park in Akron and the Shops of Green in Green!
