Local Artist is a Finalist in the Shorty Awards

February 1, 2010

Local Canton, Ohio artist Vicki Boatright a.k.a BZTAT of Art Adventures Studio is a finalist in the Oscars of Twitter, the Shorty Awards. She is one of six artists from around the world nominated for the award by the support of her loyal fan base on Twitter.

BZTAT has made an international name for herself and her pet portraits through the use of her personal Twitter account, @BZTAT, and that of her cat, @BrewskieButt. BZTAT and BrewskieButt not only promote her artwork on Twitter but also network with other artists and animal lovers from around the world and promote the Downtown Canton Arts District.

We’d like to enlist the help of all of our readers, that are also Twitter users, to help BZTAT win the Shorty for the art category! Please go to: www.shortyawards.com/BZTAT to cast your vote and learn more about the Shorty Awards. Voting begins today, February 1 at noon and ends Friday, February 5 at noon.

  1. I enjoy the Canton Arts District and am familiar with Vickie Boatright and her whimsical animal portraits. She has done much for the downtown arts community and in helping animals. Thanks for giving her an artical on your blog to help her win this award. It will help focus a national spotlight on a great artist and person along with bringing some advertising to Canton, Ohio. It’s a win-win situation!
