The Malone University School of Arts and Sciences – Department of Music will present Grand Piano Extravaganza VII: A Grand Finale Saturday, February 20, at 8 p.m. at the historic Palace Theatre in downtown Canton.
Dr. W. Robert Morrison, of Canton, an organist at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, will offer pre-concert music on the Palace Theatre’s Kilgen pipe organ beginning at 7:30 p.m. Serving as master of ceremonies will be Rod Carnes. Now a Malone University tradition, this spectacular event, produced by Sandra Carnes, professor of music, will feature eight grand pianos furnished by Steinway Hall of Akron. The program features as many as 16 pianists on stage at one time!
